Membership
As we come to the end of the financial year for Buntingford U3a (31st March 2026) it is again time for subscriptions to be renewed. The cost has been held again this year at £10 and £6 if you are a member of another local U3a.
We receive the Gift Aid reclaimed from HMRC and this runs to several hundred pounds per year. These are significant amounts and allow us to hold subscriptions at the current rates.
Just to clarify that if you pay tax on your income of at least £10 per annum it means that by ticking the Gift Aid box on the membership form we can claim an extra 25% of your payment. So if you are a taxpayer please tick the box, we do the rest, no forms for you to complete! HMRC rules do require us to get you to tick the box every year, we can't carry over your decision from one year to the next.
The best way to renew is by bank transfer to the branch account, details of which are on the membership renewal from. Please include your name so we can identify from whom the payment has come.

If you are unable to e-mail the membership form or if you wish to pay by cheque or cash this can be done at the monthly meetings and during March and April a special table will be set up for renewals and to hand in membership forms if you have not been able to e-mail. It is important that we have up to date information address, contact details etc.
